Sydney's Bear Birthday Party
Posted by Carrie on January 30th, 2012
This year for Sydney's Birthday she asked to have her party at Build a Bear. I was hesitant at first about how it would work with there being no party room and the cost but it ended up working out just perfect. We took a small group of girls, 7 including my two girls and it was SO MUCH FUN! They had so much fun all of us moms were jealous and wanted to make bears too!
Sydney all excited with her birthday ribbon on

Once everyone had arrived our group met with our party guide. Her name was Erin and she totally rocked. The girls had so much fun with her and she really helped them step out of their quiet little shells. First off they went over some silly rules and sang a few songs.

Then they all were suppose to hop like bunny rabbits over to the bear making station but they were too shy. I love this photo and wish it had been in focus.

They had 3 different sprinkle bears to pick from, a cupcake bear, donut bear and cookie bear. Of course you can have it where they pick from anything but I thought these were cute and fun!

Then they were all given 2 hearts, one for their bear and one for Sydney's. Erin had them do silly things like rub the hearts on their hips so their bears would be hip or rub it on their back so their bear would have their back. It was cute!

Then they put them in their bears
Sydney went first and stuffed her bear to the perfect cuddliness.

Everyone else took turns and while they waited they played guess that movie game and colored.

Kenzie was amazed at how they made her bear, she named it Princess.

They all named their bears so they could give them birth certificates. Sydney chose the name Cookie.

After stuffing them they went to the bath station and took turns bathing and combing them.

And now for the best part picking outfits and accessories! Sydney went with a rainbow fairy dress with light up wings and high heel shoes.

Kenzie of course needed a shirt with cupcakes and a zip up sweatshirt.

Everyone shows off their new bears!

When we are all finished we go back up front. Erin convinces them to crawl like puppies back to the front.
Then it's time to sing the birthday girl happy birthday and put our bears in their homes.

Once the build a bear part was through I still wanted to have cake and icecream so we went up the food court where dad had held a table for us. We had rainbow cake and icecream in pizzelle bowls.

Of course no bear party is complete without bear juice boxes, teddy grahams, twizzlers and gummy bears.

Sydney is a little embarrassed at first when we start singing happy birthday because everyone in the food court is looking at her.

They all enjoyed their yummy treats!

To finish the party off we opened some presents.

Thank you to everyone for making Sydney's birthday so special!
For dinner that night we had mini pizza's that Sydney made.
She made this silly one for grandma. Of course we had to add some more toppings.
Kenzie is excited about pizza too!

Fun, love your cake! I need cake lessons from you! Anyways, you know that picture where Mak was wide-eyed amazed at how they made her bear? That's the exact expression that Tristan had when he saw all the snow! too cute :)

That was a really fun party! It turned out perfect and was a great idea. Kailey loves her bear and sleeps with it ever since. Thank you!
