Valentines and PJ's Gone Wrong

Sydney had her friendship party coming up at school and instead of buying generic Valentines she wanted to make them like Pinkalicious did in her book.  So we got together as much pink paper, heart paper, pink sparkly heart stickers and glitter glue as we could and she set off to work.  She had alot of fun creating them and I thought it was so sweet that she made them all herself.  After the party we went to her friend Addisens house and Addisen had liked it so much she had hung it on her bulletin board.  So sweet!

Making Valentines (with a little help from mom.)

I also made the girls Valentine Pj's.  One day when we were at JoAnns Sydney had picked out this heart flannel so I thought what better time to make them heart Pj's then Valentines day.  I didn't have enough heart fabric so I went back to the store and bought some pink to make the shirt for Makenzie.  I worked on them all weekend and used a Simplicity pattern that I know I cut out to size. Yet when they went to put them on that night they wouldn't fit over their heads.   The funny part is my kids don't even have big heads!  Anyways they were pretty upset about the pajama tops that were stuck on their heads so I took Sydney's top from her and put it on Mak (it luckily fit pretty good) and grabbed an old tank top from Sydney's closet and sewed some hearts on it.  That seamed to make them happy and Mak's shirt well............didn't you know it was actually a dolly night gown.

Abby and I made Valentine's cards too. That is pretty ridiculous about the pattern, what number is it because I might have to make sure I don't do the same thing! Love the heart appliques!
